Distance Learning Expectations

    • Your Login information is exclusive to you. Keep this information private and please do not share their login information, meeting links, or passwords with others.
    • To the extent possible, ensure that you have a quiet and neutral area that is free of distractions when participating in virtual instruction.
    • School and classroom rules apply to the virtual instruction environment. (More details to come.)
    • You will be expected to participate while we are doing instruction with your camera on. If you are not visible, you will be reminded to turn your camera on. If you do not have a camera on your device, please email me so that I know.
    • Please enter the classroom with your microphone muted. Unmute the microphone when you are called upon. The chat box should only be used when you have a question and I am unable to answer right away. Please address your comment or question in the chat box beginning with the name of the person you are wanting to address.
    • Dress appropriately for virtual instruction sessions.
    • Use of inappropriate language, sharing of inappropriate images, or in any way behaving inappropriately on a video conference will be subject to appropriate discipline.
    • You cannot conduct audio or video recordings or take screen shots of virtual class meetings or activities unless you have received prior permission to do so from me as your teacher or authorized District official.
    • Once the virtual instruction session or meeting is over, please be sure to close out of the meeting platform entirely. Please also ensure that cameras are covered and that microphones are turned off to avoid inadvertent transmission following the meeting.
    • Each day you will be asked to do an attendance task for the classes you are not attending. For example, when you attend class for Periods 1, 2, and 3, you will need to complete an attendance task for periods 4, 5, and 6. This will be posted on our classroom website and must be done by 2:30 PM that day. This task is essential for counting your attendance. If you do not complete the task, you will be counted as absent for that day.
