Joe was first elected to Chino Valley USD Board of Education in 2018, after being a long-time parent volunteer at the school site level, as well as, several district committees. Joe and his wife Sandy moved to Chino Hills in 2003. Their daughter Peyton attends school in the district.
Joe medically retired from the Orange Police Department at the rank of Corporal. He also worked as a corporate officer for his family’s manufacturing business before retiring in 2017. Joe is active in community service and volunteers his time at various local charities. Joe currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Ignite Volleyball Club and Foundation in Chino, is a past Board Member for the North Orange County Family YMCA, a former high school athletics coach and former Commissioner for the City of Chino Hills Parks and Recreation Commission.
Joe graduated from Troy High School in Fullerton and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton. Joe also graduated from the Orange County Sheriff’s Academy and has taken several advanced courses related to public safety and community leadership. He hopes to utilize his past training and experience, both in the private and public sectors, to help guide the direction of CVUSD.
In his free time, Joe enjoys golfing, camping with his family in their RV, relaxing at the river, going on cruises, and spending time with family and friends.Member, 2019
