    Last night, Board member Andrew Cruz issued a public apology for hurtful comments he made at last week's Board meeting.  I am glad that Mr. Cruz acknowledged his error, and apologized to anyone he hurt.
     
    The Chino Valley Unified School District does not and will never condone, support or agree with any language or actions that promote discrimination or hatred.
     
    The Chino Valley Unified School District is comprised of students, families and staff members from diverse backgrounds. As a School District, we are proud of our unequivocal commitment to respect the unique backgrounds and personal beliefs of our students, families and staff, and to treat everyone with equality.  Board of Education Policies prohibit "discriminatory behavior or statements that degrade an individual on the basis of his/her actual or perceived race, ethnicity, culture, heritage, gender, sex, sexual orientation, physical/mental attributes, or religious beliefs or practices."   Our policies and practices enable us to create an inclusive, comfortable and safe learning environment for all of our students.
