Welcome to Music 2021-2022! -Mrs. Rutt, band director

Welcome to Townsend Music! This is Mrs. Rutt, band director and piano lab teacher. If your student has me on their schedule, here is what the classes are by class period:

Period 1 (beg. Inst.)= piano lab/music appreciation

Period 2 (beg. Inst.)= piano lab/music appreciation

Period 3 (beg. Inst.)= piano lab/music appreciation

Period 4 (beg. Band)= woodwind class of all levels

Period 6 (Advanced Band)= brass class of all levels

Period 6 (Percussion)= drums and keyboard/mallet instrumentsof all levels

If you notice your student may be enrolled in the incorrect class, please do the following:

1. Let Mrs. Rutt know. You can email me at Anne_rutt@chino.k12.ca.us

2. Email the school scheduler at Laurie_chico@chino.k12.ca.us or call her at 909 591-2161

3. Be patient, as it may take up to 2 weeks to process your schedule change. Don't worry, all music classes are having the same lessons until classes are balanced at the start of week 3. So even if you're in the "wrong" music class now, you aren't falling behind the other music classes. For this reason we will NOT bring our instruments to school for at least the 1st 2 weeks of class.

We will be using google classroom to suplement our in-person learning, so check there regularly for assignments and class handouts/announcments.
