• Welcome to Mr. Brown's Blended Learning Classroom! 

    Assuming the state of California remains in the Red Tier, we will begin Blended Learning on March 23. I am excited to meet my students in person! Effective March 23, Virtual Office Hours will be discontinued. However, I remain committed to responding to all student e-mails in a timely manner.

    I am committed to responding to all student and parent e-mails within 24 hours on weekdays. I am also available to meet during Virtual Office Hours through Google Meet, e-mail, or phone appointment.

     

    Blended Learning Expectations

    During Blended Learning students will attend school either two or three days per week on a two-week alternating schedule. For example:

    • Week One: Cohort A will attend school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Cohort B will attend school on Tuesday and Thursday.
    • Week Two: Cohort B will attend school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Cohort A will attend school on Tuesday and Thursday. 

    The use of live instruction via Google Meet will be discontinued effective March 23. On non-classroom days, students will be assigned independent, asynchronous assignments. We will continue to use Google Classroom as our primary platform for all assignments. On each non-classroom day, students will be expected to complete a specific task that will be due that day. This assignment will count towards student attendance. Please be sure to complete this task no later than 2pm on the day it is assigned. 

     

     

    Class Access

    We will be using Google Classroom to post and submit electronic assignments. Each student will be joined to a Google Classroom automatically (or will receive an access code to enter the class that will be sent to the student e-mail address). If you have any difficulties, please e-mail me ASAP.
