Parents as Partners
The Special Education Parents as Partners Meetings are a collaborative effort partnering with the District Special Education Department and District Parents/Guardians of students with disabilities with an Individual Education Program.
The Special Education Parent as Partners trainings provide personalized information and training on topics that directly impact students with an IEP and their parents/guardians who support them in their education journey. As well as having guest speakers and discussion of pertinent topics, parents/guardians have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about special education programs and services that directly impact their child. The trainings also provide parents/guardians the opportunity to share their experiences with other parents.
Informational Flyers are posted at each site, on the District Special Education Website, shared through District/site SPED staff, and through Aeries: Parent Portal.
Plan to attend a training or meeting. Everyone is welcome to attend.
