The 8th grade American Studies course is designed for students to learn the 8th grade CA state standards for U.S. History while supporting the English Common Core and Discipline Literacy standards. Chronological and spatial thinking, research, evidence, point of view, and historical interpretation skills are taught through a variety of types of assignments throughout the school year. You never know when a knowledge of history will come in handy...
To know the past is to know the present. To know the present is to know yourself. So begins our quest to grow and learn more about ourselves as Americans!
