    GRADING

    7th and 8th grade: Per district policy, the percent grade breakdown is as follows according to AR 5121

    Assessments: 60-75% of the final grade
    Assignments and class directions: 25-40% of the final grade

    Middle School ELA Learning Targets

    x Identify letters, words, and sentences

    x Distinguish beginning, middle, and ending sounds in single-syllable words (words with only one vowel sound) x Identify

    x Use picture clues and context to aid comprehension and to make predictions about story content

    Middle School Math Learning Targets
