Estimados Estudiantes y Familias

Dear Families and Students,

Welcome to my Classroom Page. My name is Claudia Reynolds and this is my twenty-third year teaching Spanish.

I am originally from El Salvador, a small country in Central America. I came to the United States as a teenager escaping the Salvadorean Civil War. As a teenager, I endured many obstacles when I came to the United States, including being without my family and not knowing how to speak English. Growing up in Latin America was amazing. The richness of my culture and the warm-heartedness and affection of its people is what I hope to relate to my students as they walk in my classroom.

I received my Master’s Degree in Education from Claremont Graduate University. I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Information Systems from University of Phoenix. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a Marketing Manager for Multicultural Research Center in Orange County. My personal and professional experiences with diverse groups of people  reflect a positive climate of collaboration in my classroom.

As a teacher, I hold a deep understanding of what my students need to learn to be successful and productive citizens of 21st Century Globalization. Students connect their learning with life experiences and passions. Students are immersed in a continuous blend of learned and experienced traditions. In my classroom, students will be encouraged daily to work together to discover information, piece it together, and construct meaning with what they are learning.

Bienvenidos a mi clase.
