• Welcome to our new distance learning school year! Biology is the study of living things. This year we will be covering some amazing topics. We'll learn how life works on the large, planet wide ecological level and also on the smaller cellular level. We'll study how DNA determines how cellular proteins are made, how these proteins determine genetic traits and how those traits can affect change in life on our planet.  We'll do various labs & projects that are adapted to this distance learning platform. These will allow us to use the scientic method and critical thinking skills to better understand the natural world we live in                                                                                                                                                                                              .

Students: please contact me through your district account & email address.  Make sure to use only your district account (username: districtusername@stu.chino.k12.ca.us) (password: Capital First Initial followed by lowercase 2nd initial followed by last 5 digits of student ID) when logging into our Google Classroom class meetings. • Virtual Office Hours: afterschool Mondays (1:55-2:25pm) & Tuesdays/Thursdays (1:35-2:20pm) and before school on Wednesdays & Fridays from 7:30 to 8:00am. Please make appointments for a personal Meet through email. I'm only available during office hours to communicate with parents or students since I'll otherwise be teaching. 

                                                                                              

• Class Access: We will be using Google Classroom to post and submit electronic assignments. Virtual Class Meetings will be held through Zoom initially  and then through Google Meets (after its updated in a few weeks) or Microsoft Teams. Please make sure to download Zoom onto your devices before our first meeting. Students will find meeting link codes in their Google Classroom.  Parents and Students: please check the Calendar (below) on this website for class information. 

• Grades will be posted on Aries. Please use my email above for communication with me as needed.           

• Students must login every school day to our Google Classroom for attendance purposes as well as to keep up with announcements, homework, due dates, etc. Important announcements will be posted on School Wires as well as in our Google Classroom.
