    Career Center Services Offered: 










    • ROP (Regional Occupational Program) - provides career technical education (CTE) to students. ROP will help students obtain skills and attitudes that will connect them to successful work and careers in a local and global economy. 
    • This program is free to high school students. Most ROP classes are open to students in 9th - 12th grades. There are some classes that have age requirements.  ROP has many classes to choose from (see schedule link), at least twenty different locations throughout the region and provides elective credits for high school students. Some credits even transfer to the community college level. Come visit the Career Center for more information.

      work permit  How do I get a work permit?

    You can apply for a work permit, after you have been hired by an employer. 
    Obtaining a work permit consists of the following:

    1. Download and complete the form B1-1 found on this page. This form requires parent and employer signatures.


    2. Return form B1-1 to the Career Center complete with parent and employer signatures.

    3. A work permit will be drawn up and issued. Please allow a minimum of 2-4 days to process.
    4.  After June 16, 2020, please take completed work permits to the district office.  Go to the office of Secondary Curriculum and they will process it.

    ATTENTION***If you are in need of a work permit during the school closure, please download the work permit application form from this site. This form needs to be signed by the student, parent, and employer. Then send an email request to candice_roman@chino.k12.ca.us for processing. Or completed work permits can be walked into the school counseling office to be processed on Thursdays until June 16.  
    ***Summer work permits can be completed at the Office of Secondary Curriculum at the CVUSD district office.
