Good Day Bulldogs!
I am Lieutenant Lewis, a regionally based Diversity and Inclusion admissions advisor for Headquarters Air Force ROTC and will be your assigned advisor should you be applying for a scholarship this year or looking to join AFROTC at any of our 1200 locations! I am reaching out to inform you that the Air Force ROTC High School Scholarship application window is open and will remain open until January 14th 2021. There are 3 different levels of scholarships. Type 1, 2, and 7. The differences are listed below.
-
Type 1: Full Tuition at any public or private university
-
Type 2: $18,000/year at any public or private university
-
Type 7: Full Tuition at any in-state college/university
All three scholarships come with a monthly spending allowance starting at $300/month and increasing each year till it reaches a cap at $500/month. Additionally, they all come with $900/year for textbooks. What’s nice about these allowances are they are deposited directly to your bank accounts and you have the freedom to allocate the funds towards living expenses and textbooks as you see fit.
**You do NOT need a scholarship to join Air Force ROTC, there are scholarship opportunities in college with different requirements, free professional development opportunities, study abroad and language learning opportunities with ROTC as well**
Eligibility for the High Scholarship Program are as listed:
-
Must be a high school senior
-
Must have one of composite scores
-
SAT-1240
-
ACT-26
-
*SAT and ACT scores are still required at this time
-

-
Must either be a United States citizen or able to obtain U.S. citizenship by the last day of the first term of their freshman year (for four-year offers) or the first term of sophomore year (for three-year offers)
The application process for the high school scholarship is fairly simple and there’s no essay! So have your eligible high school seniors be sure to mark their calendars and begin their application. The sooner they apply, the better their chances and the sooner they are able to make financial decisions regarding college choices. Plus, students could have it all completed before they begin their college applications. No need to know where you’ll be attending yet!
If you are interested in any of these scholarships, please reach out to me as soon as possible. I would love to schedule a zoom informational meeting with you to discuss more.
