Dear Class of 2021 and Families,
It is that time of year to begin preparing for Graduation! We are sending you this memo to provide you and your families the information pertaining to the Graduation ceremonies in order to prepare for this special event.
We are excited to announce that Graduation for the Class of 2021 will be held at our very own Husky Stadium. We appreciate your patience as we were working on how to make this graduation safe yet special for you and your families. When planning for Graduation we based our ticket sales and spectator capacity off of the March 26 Graduation Ceremonies Guidelines published by the California Department of Public Health. Please see the information below regarding Graduation dates and other important details.
Due to capacity limitations, we will be holding graduation ceremonies over four days.
Monday, May 24, 2021
Tuesday, May 25, 2021
Wednesday, May 26, 2021
Thursday, May 27, 2021
How many tickets can my family receive?
Two tickets will be given to each senior. Additional tickets will be sold to immediate family only up to the allotted number based on the current tier color at a price of $10 each. The numbers listed include the two free tickets, Red Tier = 4 Tickets, Orange Tier = 6 tickets and Yellow Tier =8. Tickets. All tickets can be purchased at the Student Store starting on May 4, 2021, with proof of registration confirmation.
How can we reserve tickets for specific days?
We will be sending out a link to our seniors via their CVUSD student emails, the Class of 2021 Google Classroom, on May 3 at 3 pm. There are only 150 spots available each day so please do not double book your senior in case you do not get the day you originally want. If there are individual seniors with two spots reserved both will be canceled out. Seniors will be expected to show a printed confirmation of the reservation when purchasing tickets. If students do not have their confirmation they will not be able to purchase tickets at that time.
Will the Graduation be live-streamed?
We are currently working on installing a system in our stadium to live-stream events. Updates on the system’s status will be posted on our school website, social media, and Google Classroom.
How long will the graduation last?
Commencement ceremonies will start at 7:00 PM and will conclude approximately at 8:00 PM.
Are seats reserved at Commencement?
No. Individuals will be assigned seating when purchasing tickets.
May we take pictures at Commencement?
You are invited to take any general pictures of the ceremony from your seat. Please do not attempt to enter the field at any time for the taking of pictures. Students may purchase professional photos from School Portraits by Adams. Envelopes will be available in the ASB room.
Where can all of the spectators park for the Commencement?
The CHHS student parking lot will be available at the north end of campus. The staff lot on the south end of campus will not be available.
Will handicapped parking and seating be available?
Yes, there will be handicapped parking along the first row, closest to the stadium, in the student parking lot. The stadium seating is on the street level and will be accessible to handicapped seating.
