Email is the best way to contact me with questions or concerns. I am committed to responding to all student and parent emails within 24 hours on weekdays.
Beginning Wednesday 3/23 office hours will be after school in the classroom. Students wanting additional help should come to the classroom (147) after school. I will be there if you show up. If no one appears before 2:30 I may have left. Students wanting me to wait should notify me that day.
We will continue using Google Classroom to post and submit Electronic assignments. Each student will be joined to a Google Classroom automatically. The link to the Google Meet will still be visible in the Title banner of the class page in Google Classroom just prior to the start of class. I will be repeating the lecture for students that would like to see it again on the off day. Simply click on the link to be directed to the class. If you have any difficulties email me.

Attendance will be taken every day. Attendance on class days will be by seating chart. Additionally, students must check in and answer an attendance question on the (asynchronous) off days. We will continue to use Google classroom for homework and participation. Using Google classroom to do the online work requires the using the email assigned by the district. We will also use Google Classroom for the asynchronous (off) days. The participation (notes, nearpod) and homework/classwork assignments will continue as they have been on Google Classroom. The lecture presentations, current homework assignments and notification of upcoming assessments will continue to be posted on Google Classroom. The dates on the calendars are subject to change as we find ourselves going through the material, so check the site on a regular basis
Grades on Aeries:
Grades are current as of 3/10.
Grades will be categorized as follows:
Tests - 50%
Quizzes - 20%
Homework/Classwork - 20%
Participation - 10%
Prob/Stats & AP Stats
Assessment - 75%
Homework/Classwork - 25%
Students in Integrated Math 1 are not required to obtain a calculator but the TI-30XIIS will be helpful.
Probability/Statistics and AP Statistics should have a TI-84 calculator. They will be on sale at a discount at Target, Staples, WalMart, etc just before school begins, but will not be on discount long after school starts. Get one as soon as possible. Should you be unable to purchase your own calculator there are some calculators available at the library to check out. These may go quickly so you should get one as early as possible.
The online calculator at Desmos.com will do much of what is required but I am not familiar with the site and cannot help.
For AP Stats the only summer work is to obtain a TI-84+ or TI-84CE calculator. The NSpire and other manufacturers will work but I model the TI-84 and I am unfamiliar with the others. Thus I will be of limited help with those calculators. Enjoy your summer, relax and recharge. Then come back prepared to work.
