Welcome to our Spanish Class for the 2024-2025 School Year.

Estudiantes/ Students: 

I am thrilled to embark on this learning journey with you! Whether you’re starting in Spanish 1 or are one of my dedicated AP Spanish students, this year will be full of exciting opportunities to learn, grow, and immerse yourself in the Spanish language and culture.

For Spanish 1 Students: We will explore the diverse and vibrant Spanish-speaking world, delving into various forms of communication, culture, and language. Get ready to engage, share, and learn from one another as we build a strong foundation in Spanish. By the end of the year, you will have the essential skills needed to thrive in a bilingual environment.

For AP Spanish Students: We will take your Spanish proficiency to the next level, focusing on professional and culturally appropriate language use. Together, we will explore how language and culture intersect, holding ourselves accountable to high learning standards. My goal is to prepare you thoroughly for the AP Spanish Exam and equip you with the tools needed to succeed professionally.

Whether you have prior exposure to Spanish or it’s spoken at home, you’ll find plenty of opportunities to deepen your understanding and use of the language in academic and real-world contexts.

I am committed to giving 150% to support, teach, and mentor you throughout this journey. All I ask is that you come ready to have fun, be open to learning, and embrace new experiences.

It is VERY IMPORTANT that you either have your Google Classroom notifications on or that you be self-disciplined and check the Google Stream daily for important information related to assignments, announcements, comments, etc.  

I want you all to know that I am here to support your growth in learning the Spanish language and culture. Let's have a great year!

Padres/Parents, 

In Spanish class, students will have homework at least 2 days per week. We work on projects and presentations a lot in this class. One of the best ways to support your students is by encouraging them to practice their presentation and to speak as much Spanish as possible outside of class. I will provide students with different activities on our Google Classroom platform to help them develop those skills. Please encourage your students to practice on their own time.
