  • General Expectations

    • Students should not share their login information, meeting links, or passwords with others. Remember your login information is as follows (using my name as an example):
      • Username: NAguilera@stu.chino.k12.ca.us
      • Password: Na12345 (capital first name initial, lowercase last name initial, last 5 numbers of your permanent ID)
    • To the extent possible, students should participate in virtual instruction from a quiet and neutral area that is free of distractions.
    • School and classroom rules apply to the virtual instruction environment.
    • It is recommended that students review the District Technology Acceptable/Responsible Use Policy regarding expectations for behavior while conducting themselves online and on District devices. [Click here to Review the CVUSD Responsible Use Policy.
    • Students should dress appropriately for virtual instruction sessions.
    • Students who use inappropriate language, share inappropriate images, or in any way behave inappropriately on a video conference will be subject to appropriate discipline.
    • Students should not conduct audio or video recordings or take screen shots of virtual class meetings or activities unless they have received prior permission to do so from a teacher or authorized District official.
    • To the extent possible, parents should allow the student to work with the instructor or provider in a quiet, private space. However, to the extent a student requires adult support to participate in virtual instruction/services, a parent or guardian may be specifically asked by the instructor or service provider to provide such support.
    • Once the virtual instruction session or meeting is over, students should be sure to close out of the meeting platform entirely. Students should also ensure that cameras are covered and that microphones are turned off to avoid inadvertent transmission following the meeting.

    Virtual Meetings

    • Students should log in to our virtual meeting before the start time of each period. I recommend starting this process a few minutes before class is to begin.
    • Students should remain visible for our entire class time as attendance will be taken at the beginning and end of each online session.
    • All meeting times will follow the Distance Learning Schedule at this time.
    • If a student is absent from a meeting, please contact a classmate or the teacher to get a copy of the notes on the same day as the absence. Homework assignments will be updated on google classroom.

    Communications/Academics

I will be using the Remind ap to communicate with students about upcoming academic events.  The code for each class can be found in the course specific expectations.  Parents are welcome to join the remind for their child's class.

    Assignments

All assignments will be posted on Google Classroom under Classwork. Students will also make use of several apps from their ClassLink including their school email, online textbook, desmos, etc.

    Assessments

Assessments such as quizzes and tests will be assigned several times thoughout each unit by using several disffernt platforms.Tests will be announced in advance.  Quizzes may or may not be announced and will be communicated in a timely manner

    Feedback

Students will get feedback as comments in Google Classroom or as corrections annotated on submitted work.  It is always my intention to return work in a timely manner.

Assignements completed in Delta Math may have instantaneous feedback.  Most other work submitted will have feedback provided by the teacher.

    Grades

I use the Aeries Grading Program and will send grades home every three weeks after the first test.  Please check Aeries often, as I update grades often.  Also, please give me some grace as the program may not be updated until after I finish entering in all the grades in a class.
