Parent Information Forum Sept. 20 at Chino Hills High

  • Chino Valley parents: Do you want to keep on top of what’s going on in the world of your adolescent children?

Our first Parent Information Forum of the school year will be held 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20 in the Chino Hills High multi-purpose room, 16150 Pomona Rincon Road. It is open to any parents in the Chino Valley Unified School District.

Topics to be discussed include emerging drug trends, social media risks and concerns, suicide prevention, and provisional driver license laws. School Resource Officers -- law enforcement officers who work every day with students at our high schools and some of our junior high campuses -- will be the presenters.

Brochures and flyers about preventing tobacco use will also be provided.

Join us at 6:00 p.m. for a light dinner of pizza, salad, cookies, and water will be provided free of charge.

There will also be Spanish translation, and free professionally-supervised childcare in a separate room for children who are potty-trained.

Parents are asked not to bring children to the presentation portion of the event because of the mature nature of the topics.

Can’t make this meeting? A second forum is set for 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14 in the Chino High multi-purpose room, 5472 Park Place.
