Big day for high school marching bands tomorrow!

  • Good luck to Chino Valley Unified School District’s high school marching bands as they take on bands from across the State in championship competitions Saturday (Nov. 18)!

    Chino High’s 77th Cavalry Marching Band is seeking its eighth gold medal in the 6A Division of the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Field Championships, to be held at 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Citrus College in Glendora. Chino High has won gold seven times in the event that features the largest high school bands.

    Chino Hills High Marching Band will compete in the 5A Division of the SCSBOA Field Championships, which begin at 6:00 p.m. Saturday at Ramona High School in Riverside.

    Ayala High will compete in the 5A Division of the Western Band Association (WBA) Championships, set for 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Fresno State Bulldog Stadium in Fresno. Ayala is a three times WBA Grand Champion.

    Don Lugo High’s Marching Conquistadores will compete in the 1A Division of the WBA Championships, scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Buchanan High School Veterans Stadium in Clovis.
