CVUSD students selected for 2018 County Honor Bands
Congratulations to the 20 Chino Valley Unified School District students who were selected for the 2018 San Bernardino County Basin Elementary, Middle School, and High School Honor Bands!
The Honor Bands, selected by members of the San Bernardino County Music Educators Association, will perform beginning at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018 at the University of Redlands Memorial Chapel, 1200 E. Colton Ave., Redlands.
CVUSD students selected for the San Bernardino County Basin Elementary Honor Band, the school they attend, and the instrument they will play are: Jayden Ohira, Butterfield Ranch Elementary School, second flute; Julia Framan, Butterfield Ranch Elementary School, second flute; Austin Sells, Oak Ridge Elementary School, second flute; and Aleena Mohiuddin, Oak Ridge Elementary School, mallet percussion.
Chosen for the San Bernardino County Basin Middle School Honor Band are: Townsend Junior High students Vanessa Chang, Sunny Lin, and Tiffany Chen, playing flute; Townsend Junior High students Ariana Fernandez, Ella Mao, and Lillian Oceguera, and Woodcrest Junior High student Katherine Roda, playing clarinet; Townsend Junior High student Alice Chen, playing alto saxophone; Townsend Junior High students Devin McGrath and Kristine Casas, playing trumpet; Woodcrest Junior High School student Catherine Watrous-Bauman, playing mallets; and Woodcrest Junior High School student Erica Struikmans, percussion.
Selected for the San Bernardino County Basin High School Honor Band are: Kirby Huynh of Ayala High School, flute; Shawnee Herrera of Don Lugo High School, flute; Will Hoose of Ayala High School, alto saxophone; and David Yoon of Ayala High School, trumpet.
