• State of Emergency
    Update
    March 12, 2020

    Dear CVUSD Community:

The Chino Valley Unified School District Board of Education passed a state of emergency resolution this afternoon, granting me certain authorities to ensure that public education continues, and to help safeguard the wellbeing of students and staff during the COVID-19 crisis. I want to thank the CVUSD Board of Education for their leadership and flexibility in calling an emergency meeting to pass the resolution. The urgency with which matters are addressed during times of hardship will help determine our success in combating any possible challenges.

At this time, there have been no directives from Public Health Officials to close schools. All schools will remain on normal schedule. Nevertheless, my staff and I have already developed comprehensive response plans for various scenarios in the event COVID-19 reaches our community, and we continue to promote best practices for healthy hygiene in our schools as well as increase cleaning/disinfecting of schools and facilities.

Please know that the wellbeing of our students and staff is a priority for us and our mission is to provide students a quality education in a safe learning environment. We will keep you updated on all COVID-19 issues. To read the state of emergency resolution passed by our Board today, please find it here: https://www.chino.k12.ca.us/Page/27024

    Sincerely,

    Norm Enfield, Ed.D.
