• UPDATE TO THE CVUSD COMMUNITY REGARDING
    SCHOOL CLOSURES DUE TO
    NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
    July 3, 2020

    Dear CVUSD Community:

As you probably heard on the news this past week, the statistics on COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise both locally and in many parts of the state. On Wednesday, Governor Gavin Newsom ordered stricter guidelines on previously allowed re-openings.

In accordance with these unfortunate developments and in adherence to public health guidelines, Chino Valley Unified School District will be reinstating the policy that all CVUSD Athletics and Activities are suspended until further notice.

For many students and families, athletics and activities are the benchmark of our return to some semblance of normalcy. However, the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff remain a top priority. During this pandemic, the District continuously weighs the needs of our students and staff with best practices in health and safety recommended by Public Health officials.

Thank you for your patience as we continue to navigate these unpredictable times. Rest assured that we will update you on a regular basis as the summer progresses.

    Sincerely,
    Norm Enfield, Ed.D.
    Superintendent
