• UPDATE TO THE CVUSD COMMUNITY REGARDING FACE COVERINGS FOR CHINO VALLEY USD
    May 14, 2021

    Dear CVUSD Parents and Guardians:

On May 13, 2021, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that fully vaccinated persons are no longer required to wear face coverings. I would like to remind our parents and community that guidelines observed by the California Department of Health and the Chino Valley Unified School District are still in effect. Face coverings are required when on district property or visiting a CVUSD school site.

With only nine days left in the traditional school year, I would like to encourage everyone to remain optimistic as we begin to see a positive shift in the COVID-19 pandemic. The CDC’s announcement is cause for celebration as we near a return to normalcy, but it is also a call to action to renew our commitment to slowing the spread of the virus. As parents, teachers, and administrators join together to honor students through promotion and graduation ceremonies, please understand that participants must wear a face covering and practice social distancing.

On May 20, 2021, Board of Education meetings will return to being held in person and members of the community are invited to attend. Seating will be limited as we adhere to social distancing guidelines still in effect throughout the state and will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Additional limited seating will be available outside of the Board room in auxiliary areas.  Our focus, as always, is prioritizing the health and academic success of CVUSD students.

Thank you for your continued support as we reach the end of our 2020-2021 academic school year. Our community has remained strong during this unique situation with COVID-19, and I know we can finish strong as we prepare for a much-deserved summer vacation.

    Sincerely,

    Norm Enfield, Ed.D.
    Superintendent
