County Supports Schools in their Efforts to Comply with State Mandates

San Bernardino County is committed to support schools throughout the county as they grapple with a variety of challenges in their effort to comply with State-imposed student and staff mask mandates.

Throughout the pandemic, San Bernardino County and our local school districts have worked collaboratively to implement the State's required pandemic response. The County is very proud of and thankful for the hard work and dedication shown by the County Superintendent of School's Office and all of the district leaders, school administrators, teachers, faculty, and support staff throughout the county.

The California Department of Public Health is responsible for the current masking requirements. Neither the County nor our local school districts have the legal discretion to disregard these mandates.

The County looks forward to its continued partnership and collaboration with school districts as we provide for the health and safety of our residents.
