• Update to Community regarding Technology Pick Up and Distribution
    During COVID-19 School Closures

    March 30, 2020

    Dear CVUSD Parents and Guardians,

I would like to remind everyone that in order to maintain social distancing practices and adhere to all health advisories concerning COVID-19, please DO NOT go to a school site to request technology devices unless you have been instructed to do so and only during the specific time you have been instructed to arrive.

Technology distribution will take place today, March 30, 2020, through Wednesday, April 1, 2020, only for families that have already filled out a form requesting technology devices. You should have received pick-up instructions from your school site via Aeries Communication email or phone call. Pick-up procedures may differ for each school site; therefore, it is imperative that you follow directions provided by your school.

If you have not yet filled out a form requesting technology but need a device:

    • Please directly email your school principal to arrange for technology device(s). Again, please only request a device if your student does not have access to one at home.
    • Your principal will let you know what your next steps are for technology devices and pick up.

Again, these procedures will assist with distributing technology devices to qualifying families without access to technology devices or internet services at home while maintain social distancing. Please bear in mind that we have a limited supply of technology devices and want to ensure that those in need receive equipment necessary for extended learning during school closures.

Thank you for your continued support and making the transition from the classroom to distance learning as seamless as possible. With your cooperation, our students will continue to receive quality instruction and education during these uncertain times.

    Sincerely,

    Norm Enfield, Ed.D.
    Superintendent
